That’s the easy part. It’s
the land of camp choices that’s not so easy. Our advice:
Follow Kidsguide’s four-step program to camp success.
Step One
Read the feature article on pages 3 and 4 in the print issue
(or click here to read it online!). Here you’ll
find camps in six categories (or experiences) matched to
the needs of your family. Under
each category there are practical tips and awesome examples of camps for every
age group and interest.
Step Two
Flip through the pages of Kidsguide. We have over 60 chapters, most
of which offer camps of some type. Find your area of interest and chances are
you’ll find a camp.
Step Three
Check out the new Kidsguide Camp
Bulletin Board. We can provide an
endless list of camps, but it’s the insider tips that count. We invite
you to post (and read) reviews and experiences about camps
kids have attended, or to ask questions about camps your kids may attend.
Step Four
Have fun! We’ve provided camp activities at the end of each
chapter: ghost stories, jokes, games, campfire treats—even camp songs (we’re
apologizing in advance for these songs, when the tunes get in your head, good
luck getting them out!). Your kids will also love the Wacky Word Search filled
with camp terms and cool prizes they can win on page 84.
Once all of the steps are complete, grab a whistle, a clipboard and get camping!
Enjoy.
